My guitar came!

                    Today my guitar came in the mail! It took a lot longer than expected which held me up a couple of days on my project because I couldn't start learning yet. I talked to Victor and I'm going to meet with him tomorrow for my first lesson! I'm really excited and nervous at the same time because I know it's going to seem really overwhelming at first.

             I asked Victor Prato if he would give me lessons and he said yes! I'm still waiting for my guitar to come in the mail, but once it does I'm going to set up a schedule for the next two months. I was looking at songs online that I could learn how to play acoustically, and also sing along with it once I get more advanced. I have three songs on my mind rite now. One of them seems like a good one to pick for someone first starting out on the guitar, so I'm probably going to choose that one. If I learn quickly enough I will attempt to learn a different song and sing that as well. I'm excited to start my lessons and learn all about the guitar!

Trying to Make a Decision

         I've been giving a lot of thought on which project I should choose to do. I was thinking about the pros and cons of learning how to play the guitar, and recording a song. I called a couple of recording studios in the area and found out that it's 40 dollars an hour in the studio which is pretty cheap. If I did that, who would play the music for me while I sang? I would probably have to hire someone and pay them. I think it would be a lot better if I could just record me playing guitar and singing. The only thing about guitar is that lessons are really expensive for just a half hour. I talked to one of my friends who knows someone who might be able to teach me. I'm going to talk to him about it and if he agrees then I'll set up a schedule, and then everything will be set and I can start my project! Oh! I ordered a guitar (fender) online last night so I will be prepared :) !

Putting it all together

        I'm probably one of the most indecisive person you will ever meet so deciding on a wise project has been kind of challenging for me. I know that I want to include singing into my project because it is my passion but I keep changing my mind on how I'm going to do that. I really am leaning towards learning how to play the guitar and singing a song that I will learn at my presentation. The only thing I'm worried about is not being successful at learning how to play soon enough because I heard its difficult to catch on. Then my other idea that I also have in mind is recording a demo CD to either a song I will write or a song that I will learn really well. I have to look into it more and soon so I could figure out what that would require and the costs.
